Annual Harvest Campaign Underway at The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation
The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation (TMDF) has launched its annual Harvest Campaign, calling on schools, businesses, churches, and local clubs across Northamptonshire to support families and individuals in need.
As part of its School Partnership Programme, TMDF benefits from local schools’ annual harvest collections. Schools celebrate harvest by engaging pupils in reflecting on the season and the importance of giving. Many schools hold assemblies during which students may sing traditional harvest songs or participate in activities that teach the value of sharing. Pupils are encouraged to bring donations of tinned, dried, and long-life food, as well as household items to school. TMDF then distributes these items as part of its major food distribution at October half-term, supporting those experiencing hardship.
Beyond the generous contributions from its partner schools, TMDF is calling on other local organisations and individuals to support this appeal. Donations of food, personal hygiene products, household and cleaning goods, and even unwanted gifts help stock the Food Hub and enable the charity to continue providing essential support to families across Northamptonshire.
