The Chamber Awards recognise and celebrate business excellence and the achievements of its Accredited Chamber membership. A total of nine categories are open to member businesses of any of the 53 BCC accredited Chambers of Commerce in the UK. A further four award categories are open to the actual Chambers themselves to enter.

Northamptonshire Chamber was judged as a finalist in three categories - Excellence in International Trade Services, Excellence in Membership Services and Chamber of the Year.

It won Excellence in Membership Services for developing a strategy, based on extensive market research, to improve overall customer experience and engagement with members, which resulted in an impressive 20% increase in membership over the last year.

Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Chamber, said: “We are so incredibly happy and proud to have won Excellence in Membership Services at this year’s prestigious Chamber Awards.

“This is excellent news for us and to get recognition at a national level makes all the hard work of building a Chamber - which truly supports its members - seem so worthwhile.

“I would personally like to thank all of the staff for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism; the Board for their guidance and support; local partners and stakeholders for working with and supporting us; and of course the members and local businesses for their engagement and belief in what we are aiming to achieve and their support and drive to ensure that we provide the support they need.

“This award is well deserved and recognises the efforts and contributions made by the entire team.”
