Our commitment to you
We value your business and are determined to provide you with the best possible standards of service. We will do this by:
- Providing relevant and topical products and services and ensuring that quality is never compromised
- Answering all incoming calls, faxes and e-mails promptly and professionally
- Responding to written enquiries within 5 working days
- Seeing all visitors at the agreed appointment time
- Welcoming all comments, suggestions and complaints and dealing with them fairly, efficiently and in the strictest confidence
- Ensuring our services can be used by eligible people, including those with special needs
- Continuously monitoring costs and the effectiveness of services to ensure on going improvement and value for money
- Conducting a bi-annual customer survey to ensure we are providing relevant services
- Ensuring all our publications, information leaflets and other forms of communications are clear, concise and use plain English
- Training our staff to have the relevant skills and empowering them to deal with your requirements.
Your commitment as a Member
Subscriptions
You agree to pay your annual subscription renewal by the due date. Should you wish to retire from Membership, you are required to give one month’s written notice.
Voting Rights
Every Member shall have one vote and will be entitled to do so, either personally or by proxy, at any general meeting, provided that their Membership subscription is up to date.
The Annual General Meeting will be held each year at a date and time agreed by the Board. At this meeting, the results ofthe election of the new Board Members and/or the President will be announced. Voting papers will be sent out at the appropriate time should vacancies arise.
The Board will nominate an eligible person as President of the Chamber. The President, if not already a Director of the company will be entitled to attend all meetings, but not have the right to vote.
Use of the Chamber Logo
As a Member of the Chamber you are entitled to display the specially designed Members’ logo on your business stationery. By doing so, you will be demonstrating the positive contribution you are making to the economy of Northamptonshire.
If your Membership should cease, you will no longer be entitled to use the logo and must make every reasonable effort to remove it as soon as possible.

Events
Chamber events are very popular and sometimes oversubscribed. Wherever possible, extra events will be run to meet demand and we operate a reserve list system. If you are booked onto an event, it is vitally important that you notify the Events Team if you are unable to attend for any reason. Sufficient notice will allow us to offer your place to a fellow Member.
Making your views known
We will from time to time offer you the opportunity to comment on specific business issues and legislation that may affect your business. Your views will then be collated into either a local, regional or national response and in this way you will be directly influencing government policy and thinking.
You could also join out Sounding Panel or one of our Special Interest Groups and become more closely involved in policy issues.
