By committing to an annual donation of £5,000 for three years, Ocee Design’s support means the Foundation can continue to deliver a real difference to the young people and their communities.

During the 2021-2022 academic year, 93% of the young people, the Foundation supported found their positive pathway developing new skills, rebuilding their confidence and where appropriate returned to education, training or employment.

Established British Furniture manufacturer, Ocee Design, strive to create a world with more beautiful, productive and creative spaces. They’re on a mission to turn good spaces into great experiences through functional, stylish and expertly designed furniture solutions.

Keen to support further, Ocee Design will also be offering work experience opportunities to young people on the Foundation’s Aspire and Engage+ programmes, for those over the age of 16, allowing them to learn new skills to support their employability for the future.

Speaking of the partnership Alistair Gough, Group CEO, at Ocee Design said “We are delighted to be involved with the great work Northampton Saints Foundation are doing to help young people in our community realise their full potential. We look forward to being actively involved in their ongoing initiatives”.

With the Office for National Statistics reporting an estimated 711,000 young people aged 16 to 24 years not in education, employment or training (NEET) in April to June 2022, up from 707,000 in January to March 2022 Clare Clarke, Heritage and Partnerships Lead is pleased to see the support from Ocee Design saying

“So far this academic year the Foundation has supported almost 1,000 young people through our Social Inclusion and Education programmes. Each year we receive more referrals of young people needing our support and we deliver to more children in mainstream schools to help reduce the risk of exclusion, or disengagement from education.

“With our costs rising, new hubs opening and additional staff, support from corporate partners is fundamental. We’re looking forward to developing our relationship over the next three years and creating additional work experience opportunities with Ocee Design for our young people to experience”.
