Export Documentation
Northamptonshire Chamber is a major issuer of export documentation in the United Kingdom. We issue European Community Certificates of Origin, Arab British Certificates of origin, Invoices, and international trade related documents such as ATA carnets or embassy legalisation.

Why do you need export documentation?
Documentation is required in some countries to clear customs or it can be required as proof of origin in order to claim preferential duty rates or for banking purposes when payment is by Letter of Credit. Letters confirming UK registration and/or Chamber membership may also be required to accompany tenders or contacts.

Certificates of Origin on-line:
On-line application for EC and Arab-British Certificates of Origin is now available through our e-Cert/a-Cert website www.cofo.org.uk/northamptonshire. Upon receipt the documents are stamped and returned to you by first class post on the same day or alternatively you may collect them from the Northamptonshire Chamber. Express service available to members:
EC, Arab-British Certificates of origin and other documents e.g. invoices are stamped electronically and are printed by you, the exporter, without you having to leave your desk. Please call or email the export team for further details.
Same Day Service - Personal Callers:
Personal callers do not need to make appointments, but in order to offer a speedy service, a telephone call beforehand, ensures a shorter waiting time.
Certificates of Origin by post:
Northamptonshire Chamber are also able to process Certificates of Origin by post.

Legalisation Service:
The Export Documentation team maintains a regular contact with the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce. We are able to approach many embassies on your behalf and obtain legalisation of your export documentation.
