Double award cements the importance of Northamptonshire Chamber’s role in the business community
Winning two awards is a terrific end to 2015.
I’m thrilled at Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce, (incorporating Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce) being crowned “Chamber of the Year” at the Chamber Awards 2015.
I’m also equally delighted that we won the “Excellence in Membership Services" award for the second year running at the prestigious event organised by the British Chambers of Commerce(BCC); and being the only chamber of commerce to do so in that category in the history of the awards.
The Chamber Awards is considered to be one of the UK’s hotly contested business awards that recognises and rewards business success across the UK and the work of 52 accredited local chambers of commerce. Each year the BCC opens four categories to local chambers.#
Understanding the needs of businesses
In order for us to win both these categories we had to meet a range of criteria built around understanding the needs of businesses and our commitment and ability to deliver support through a range of services and products.
So why did Northamptonshire Chamber win these awards I hear you ask?
The judges presented us with “Excellence in Membership Services” and “Chamber of the Year” for our strong policy of continuous improvement in services and training, and for the increase in membership every month for the past two years.
As a dynamic and pro-active organisation, these two national accolades underline how we go beyond just delivering a service to our members. It highlights the important and diverse role Northamptonshire Chamber provides to the local, regional and national community which includes ensuring we have a business voice. We are passionate about engaging businesses at all levels.
Our vision of building and nurturing a respected business community
Furthermore, it also is aligned to our vision of building and nurturing a respected business community and of helping businesses of all sizes to grow and flourish.
I would personally like to thank our entire team, the Board for their support and guidance, local partners and stakeholders for their support in the last 12 months.
However winning these accolades is not just about recognising our work, but highlights that our members should all feel proud to be part of our double award-winning team, as it would not be possible without their support.
Thank you to our members
This is indeed a tremendous achievement and one we hope our members continue to celebrate with us. Thank you again to everyone for their support and putting their trust in our vision. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a successful 2016.
